Alina Naomi x l'île d'eau is a collaboration between artists Alina Naomi and Natsuko Mizushima of l'île d'eau. Bringing together silver, wood, glass and Heishi beads, the project combines their individual practices through jewellery objects shaped by material contrast, close observation and handwork.

Natural and found materials are combined with delicate craftsmanship, allowing their irregular forms, textures and small details to remain present. Through this process, fragments are transformed into wearable objects while retaining a sense of where they came from.

By bringing organic forms into close contact with the body, the collection draws attention to things that can easily be overlooked: the character of a fragment, the relationship between different materials, and the way an object changes when it is worn.

The works move between jewellery and object, shaped through an exchange between two artistic approaches. Their combination of natural materials and intricate details creates pieces that speak about encounter, collaboration and a heightened perception of the unseen.
